- Abstract
- 이 연구는 문화배양이론을 기반으로 미디어의 유형에 따라 경찰에 대한 긍정적 접촉경험이 달라질 수 있으며, 이러한 차이가 시민들의 경찰신뢰에도 상이한 영향을 미칠 수 있을 것이라는 가설을 검증하였다. 또한 인구사회학적 특성에 따라 자주 접촉하는 미디어의 유형이 달라질 수 있음을 가정하여, 실제 미디어 유형에 따른 경찰의 긍정적 접촉경험이 개인의 인구사회학적 특성에 따라 다르게 나타나는지 확인하였다. 미디어의 유형에는 전통적 일방형 미디어(TV프로그램, TV뉴스, 영화)와 쌍방형 미디어(인터넷 기사, SNS) 유형을 모두 포함하여 연구를 진행하였다. 주요한 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 5가지의 미디어 유형 중 TV프로그램, TV뉴스, 인터넷 기사, SNS를 통한 긍정적 경찰접촉경험이 시민들의 경찰신뢰에 정(+)적 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 인구사회학적 특성 중, 연령에 따른 긍정적 경찰접촉에 평균차이가 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 경찰신뢰를 높이기 위한 적극적, 차별적 미디어 활용전략의 수립을 제언하였다.
