남북통일에 대비한 건설분야 표준 비교 연구

Abstract

Simplifying production process and business practices, facilitating communication among stakeholders and saving resources are one of the basic functions of the standard. Standards used in South and North Korea are found to have increased divergence in terms of the taxonomy, forms, contents and terminology, which are believed to serve as obstacles that could impede communication and further reduce productivity. One of the most urgent task for unification of Korean peninsular is to set up common standards for infrastructure facilities. In this regard, I will compare the standards of South and North Korea in the construction sector and analyze standards documents that contain the similar or different contents. Securing the homogeneity of national standards is expected to affect the revitalization of inter-Korean economic cooperation as well as the reduction of unification costs. Securing homogeneity may start with understanding the standards that are alienated between the two Koreas.
