- Abstract
- Software engineering is not just a document or design, but a habit of the developers and a culture of the software industry. New teaching methods to prompt creative and practical thinking in software design have been introduced. However, an integrated approach to put a course goals, components together and formulating significant learning in software engineering education was not provided. This paper presents the taxonomy of significant learning in software engineering course and proposes curricula goals, with major components such as teaching and learning activities and feedback assessment. Evaluation, lessons and impact of the change indicate a significant learning achieved in software engineering education. © 2019 by the authors.
