| dc.description.abstract | Purpose –The purpose of the research is to suggest Korean performing arts organizations to develop the Music Stage Reading in Korea. Research design, data, and methodology –The research design and methodology is a way of the comparison of Korean and Japan Music Stage Reading. So, the case studies of the representative productions in the two states are HJ Culture’s Music Stage Reading series in Korea and SOUND THEATRE’s <Natsume Yuujinchou>, ‘Theatrical-Live’s <The Black Prince>, and READING HIGH’s <Homunculus> in Japan. Result –The origin of the Stage Reading is similar to between Korea and Japan but the two countries are developed each other. Japan has been developed new genre of the performing arts, that is, the Music Stage Reading through scenic, lighting, sound usage such as professional productions. However Korea has been not developed new genre such as Japan. Conclusions –The conclusion of the research is that Korean performing arts organizations need to develop the Music Stage Reading to be new genre like Japan. | - |
