- L-limonene과 L-menthol은 GR effectors로서 기존의 당질코르티코이드의 부작용을 상쇄시키며, 항염증 및 면역억제 효과는 유지하는 효과적인 소분자이며, 이러한 L-limonene과 L-menthol의 특성은 코티솔의 비정상적인 분비에 따른 다양한 질환에 사용할 수 있는 약학 조성물의 유효성분으로 매우 유용하게 사용될 수 있다. 또한 이러한 분자를 활성물질로 포함하는 페퍼민트 오일의 항염증 및 항우울 효과를 기대할 수 있음.
