Abstract
The objective of this study is to analyze trends and characteristics of Korean companies and institutional investors' activities in overseas infrastructure and PPP markets in recent years. Design/methodology/approach Reviewing recent data for some distinguished features of policy institutions, commercial banks and project sponsors activities, this study is to assess global development trends and explore useful references and development strategies for Korean players. Findings Global infrastructure investment exceeds annual volume of multiple trillion dollars. Participation by Korean companies and institutions were increasing but with relatively lower volume, visibility and skewed to policy institutions' activities. Research Implications The findings will provide some useful recent trends and insight into the strategic development suggestions for Korean players in overseas infrastructure and PPP market.
