차별 경험이 다문화청소년의 학교적응에 미치는 영향 : 차별하는 주체의 구분을 중심으로

| dc.description.abstract | 다문화청소년의 수가 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 상황에서, 다른 문화적 배경을 가졌다는 이유로 차별을 경험하는 다문화청소년의 비율도 증가하고 있다. 다문화청소년이 경험하는 차별은 학교적응에 부정적인 영향을 미친다는 점에서 문제시된다. 학교는 청소년기 사회화 과정에 매우 중요한 영향을 미치기 때문에 차별로 인한 학교부적응은 다문화청소년이 학교에서 시민적 능력을 발달시키는 것을 어렵게 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 다문화청소년이 경험하는 차별이 학교적응에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 단순히 차별 경험 유무에 초점을 둔 선행 연구들과는 달리 본 연구에서는 다문화청소년이 경험하는 차별을 친구에 의한 차별, 교사에 의한 차별, 이웃에 의한 차별, 일반 타인에 의한 차별로 구분하여 좀 더 세부적인 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 여성가족부에서 실시한 2018년 전국다문화가족실태조사의 자료를 활용하였으며, 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 다문화청소년의 차별 경험을 포함한 모든 변수를 투입한 모형3에서 친구에 의한 차별, 교사에 의한 차별, 일반 타인에 의한 차별이 학교적응에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 다문화청소년이 경험하는 차별을 깊이 이해하기 위한 노력이 필요함을 논의하고, 다문화청소년의 원활한 학교적응을 위한 교육적 방안에 대해 논의하였다. | - |
