- Abstract
- As technology improves living conditions, VR (Virtual Reality)/AR (Augmented Reality) technologies are becoming increasingly popular in the architecture design industries. The difference between AR and VR is that the purpose of augmented reality adds information and meaning to the actual object or environment rather than creating a simulation of reality. To vividly understand the differences between VR/AR applications in the architecture industry, some illustrative examples are provided. Based on the combination of BIM (Building Imformation Modeling) and VR/AR, this paper presents the possibilities and application methods of Extension BIM (BIM Extension Model, BIEM) in the integrated design process.
