- Abstract
- Generative AI is a major advancement in the field of artificial intelligence, demonstrating its capabilities in education through personalized tutoring, support for educators, and the promotion of educational equity. However, this technology also raises concerns regarding academic integrity, AI bias and discrimination, and the digital divide. This study highlights the potential of generative AI in generating multicultural content, enhancing students' cultural sensitivity and global perspective. However, it emphasizes the need for a comprehensive understanding of generative AI's capabilities and risks to ensure its positive contribution to educational equity. The study examines the integration of generative AI in multicultural education, analyzing its potential and cautions, and providing suggestions for educators.
