- Abstract
- The process of constructing language policy is based on the cognitive framework predetermined by the government at the time. After the Mandarin Language Policy, the Chinese Nationalist Party also wanted to enact the Standard Language Act. Then democracy rose and the Language Equality Act was drafted. The Development of National Languages Act is now in force. In the process of creating and amending the law over the years, it can be said that the components of the framework have been recoded or re-coded. The main topic of study in this paper is the current Development of National Languages Act. Using the framework theory and referring to existing literature, this paper will integrate the research of pioneering scholars in the fields of communication, society, and education. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relationship between the language policy, people, societies, and frameworks through a combination of the Development of National Languages Act in effect in Taiwan and framework theory, with the aim of finding a direction for the balanced development of language and society. It is suggested that frames are unconscious and subject to interference. This paper explores the interaction between the framework and the law, the program, and the report, and provides modest suggestions.By utilizing the framework to analyze language policy in this paper, it is hoped that this will benefit the advancement of academia, education, and society.
