- Abstract
- Recently, the touch screen-based smart device market has been growing rapidly across the world. The reason is that functions that were enabled only for desktop PCs are now included in smart phones and tablet smart devices, as well as functions restricted to cellular phones, which provides diverse functions. As a result, smart devices have become increasingly popular; they are small and portable, and they have become necessities in many individuals' lives. In looking at the utilization of the storage function in smart devices, the amount of storage space has grown gradually, and many types of files. However, the convenient portability of smart devices has a disadvantage in terms of information disclosure and loss. There are diverse locking schemes in smart devices for information protection, but many smart devices currently do not have a security function, or when unlocking the lock, perform unlocking looking at the screen if the setup is not simple. Due to the risk of exposure, others may maliciously infer. Thus, this paper proposes the Point Lock and Unlock System (PLUS), which can increase the security of smart devices and enable the user to lock the device easily without looking at the screen.
