- Abstract
- This study tried to consider the factor of the differences in language and behavior, stating dissatisfaction of the subjects of both nations and the features of the language and behavior which are called expression of dissatisfaction, paying attention to the linguistic expression and behavior of the expression of dissatisfaction by Japanese and Koreans and with which expression means they express their dissatisfaction at the scene where those can occur in their daily lives, dividing them in public cases.
Conscious part made use of selective questionnaire to use the expressions of dissatisfaction in Japanese and Koreans. The data close to the real expressions showed the followings as we examined and analyzed, using the tests in completing the discourse.
We have paid attention to how they express their dissatisfaction in public cases, but both nations(Japan and Korea) have outstandingly used direct means. Meanwhile, Koreans practiced direct linguistic behavior. The expression of dissatisfaction towards the stranger in public cases depended on who the counterpart is and what feature the stranger has.
Japanese and Koreans as above, It became clear that close friendship and a hierarchical relations, a social rule and courtesy and a difference of the consciousness for the manner had an influence on the choice of the dissatisfaction expression. It can be said that knowing the misunderstandings, dissatisfactions, frictions and differences in the consciousness or linguistic behavior of the counterpart who expresses the dissatisfaction that can be the reason and understanding each other are one of the important assignments that can smoothly carry on the communications between different cultures.
