Abstract
This thesis attempt to compare and analyse with Text today and the other day’s narrative style. So, I put to practical use narratology by a theoretical basis. First of all, I am trying to analyse Text’s narrative by Roland Barthes, next rereading with Steven Cohan’theory is composed. All through Text film’s internal analysis, I come up with narrative strategy prescibing the characteristic and research the sufficient propriety in narrative’s meaning. Also, some signs to be use with the object of Text film’s analysis is described and involved in Gerard Genette’time and Steven Cohan’s focalization code. Of course, this work of re-evaluation is establishing the sense of sight of narrative aethetic characteristics in Text film’s narrative structure. And then a outcome that the director try narrative strategy shows spilting occurrence against the narrative style from the formal and functional perspective, that could search the reason from reinterpretation out of the concept of Text film. Therefore a conclusion that I attempts narrative analysis could explore that the narratology make understanding to all principle upholding sign system, signifing reader’s trying interpretation. In order that the narratological personality reflect in the Text film, I did focus on analyse elements of the distinguishing narrative form and function, attempt aesthetic reinterpretation of the Text film today and the other day.
