This study aims to systematically analyze the structural characteristics and transformation patterns of the Four Pillars of Destiny market and, based on this analysis, propose desirable directions for its sustainable development. Traditionally, Four Pillars of Destiny has functioned as a form of folk belief that interprets and offers advice on individual fate, operating largely outside institutional and official frameworks. However, in contemporary society, the field has undergone rapid institutionalization and commodification, emerging as a cultural industry. This study categorizes the market transformation by dividing it into "Four Pillars of Destiny as a theoretical discipline" and "Four Pillars of Destiny consultation as a practical service" and analyzes the marketization patterns within each domain. The theoretical domain focuses on the academicization process through lifelong education programs, university courses, and private certification systems. The practical domain examines the shift from traditional face-to-face consultations to digitally-based, non-face-to-face platforms such as mobile apps, YouTube, and video consultations. The research findings confirm that the Four Pillars of Destiny market is being structured from three perspectives: first, theoretical knowledge institutionalization centered on lifelong education centers, university courses, and private certification systems; second, practical consultation services transitioning from traditional face-to-face formats to digital platforms including apps, YouTube, and video consultations; third, digital consumer markets expanding through various online channels. These developments indicate that the Four Pillars of Destiny market is transforming beyond mere consumption of traditional knowledge into a cultural content industry through academic formalization and professionalized consultation practices. Furthermore, this study proposes three key directions for the sustainable growth of the Four Pillars of Destiny market: first, academic systematization based on philosophical foundations; second, integrating philosophical counseling to enable existential interpretation of life; third, improving institutional frameworks to ensure ethical standards and professional quality in digital consultation environments. This research holds academic significance in that it analyzes the sociological implications of the growth of Four Pillars of Destiny studies as a non-institutional divination belief, in contrast to the declining fortune-seeking functions of institutional religions, while seeking possibilities for complementary development with institutional religions through critical examination of existing growth factors.
