개별심층면접에 대한 주제분석을 활용한 생계급여 수급 가구 청년의 진로 탐색 경험에 대한 연구

초록

This study examines the career exploration experiences of young adults receiving Basic Livelihood Benefits to identify challenges they face and develop supportive interventions. The research employed individual in-depth interviews with five participants aged 19-39 who receive public assistance and analyzed using thematic analysis. Results revealed that the young adults encounter multiple challenges in their career exploration process, negative experiences associated with growing up in welfare-dependent households, practical limitations necessitating career compromises, pressure to work for immediate income, psychological and time constraints on future-oriented investments, and insufficient access to resources and information. Despite these barriers, participants demonstrated resilience through internal strengths—including self-confidence, hope, will, and motivation—alongside support from family and friends, enabling them to explore careers, establish goals, and progress in their lives. Participants identified three critical areas for intervention: career development support, psychological counseling services, and financial assistance. This study provides practical implications to support the career pathways of economically disadvantaged young adults, based on these findings.
