초록

Janghang Wetland is a national wetland protection area rich in history, culture and ecology and designated as a Ramsar wetland in 2021. It is managed according to the Han River Estuary Wetland Conservation Plan. The detailed items of it's plan were from the Ramsar Convention. They were compared and analyzed to determine whether the practical conservation tasks in Janghang Wetland met international standards. As a result of this analysis, it was confirmed that most of the promotion tasks accurately reflected the detailed action tasks specified by domestic and international wetland conservation strategies. On the other hand, some items were not reflected in the wetland conservation plan for the Janghang Wetland. The items are identified as ‘documentation of traditional wetland knowledge’ and ‘use of Ramsar regional initiatives’, which are important items in the Ramsar Convention. For domestic wetland conservation to align completely with international standards, it is necessary to mandate the implementation of the practical tasks in the Ramsar Convention when revising the national Wetland Conservation Act or enacting local self-government regulations.
