초록
Vocalization training for a loud and clear voice involves a myriad of theories and training methods, raising a challenge where learners employ diverse approaches toward a same goal. While instructors' training methods and learners' practice durations may influence the desired vocal outcomes, not all learners achieve their objectives. Learners develop training techniques through their own experiences, which may lead to entrenched incorrect vocal habits, blurring the standards for proper vocalization. This study aims to dispel the misconception, "louder sound requires a full breath", which is widely be lieved by many learners. Estill Voice Training (EVT), developed by Jo Estill between 1965 and 1991, offers a vocal model basing on voice science. EVT has gained recognition as an effective vocal technique, providing visual, auditory, and kinesthetic feedback to professional vocal users, thereby reducing confusion in vocal training. Based on these merits, this researcher determined that EVT could be used to develop safe high-intensity vocalizations, and trained subjects in EVT, recording all training procedures and results. An actor's vocalization should not be considered a natural talent. Furthermore, this study will also discuss how loud, audible, high-intensity vocalizations can be performed safely without being born with the ability to do so, and that laryngeal control can be learned. EVT is expected to make a sig nificant contribution to future actor vocal training due to its aforementioned attributes.
