청소년 도박중독 예방을 위한 교정모델 탐색 연구: 디지털 치료제를 중심으로

초록

This study aims at exploring the innovative way of applying digital therapy program for preventing illegal gambling problems of youths in South Korea. It is necessary to develop and initiate an effective correctional programs for reducing the online game addiction behaviors of juveniles by utilizing state-of-the-art technology. Numerous issues of juvenile delinquents such as runaway, theft, robbery, and school violence are likely to associate with illegal online gambling behaviors of youths as additional crimes. In this context, the current study focuses on addressing the advanced new approaches to prevent the online gambling addition problems of youths by addressing foreign digital therapy programs of “Mindway AI.” This program was invented by a Denmark company for using digital therapy and cognitive treatment to reduce gambling additions. It will be more promising to implement the new correctional treatment programs for preventing juvenile gambling behavior when criminologist and engineers can consider the possibility of merging cognitive correctional treatment and digital therapy elements by elaborating the prevalence of cyber gambling addiction in South Korea. Besides the four addiction process which include winning stage, losing stage, frustration stage, and hopeless stage should be employed to develop the new digital therapy program in digital therapy treatment aspects. Further policy implications will be discussed.
