코로나19 유행 시기별 재난취약계층에 관한 이슈 분석: 언론 기사에 대한 토픽 모델링을 중심으로

초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the issues of disaster-vulnerable class in the COVID-19 situation with news articles reflecting social interest. This research is applied with text mining methods by analyzing news articles that collected for 3-year period of the pandemic in South Korea from January 20, 2020 to December 31, 2022. The main findings of this paper indicate the following: First, individuals of children, the elderly, and the disabled are likely to be more vulnerable to mass infection. Second, in the pandemic situation, the issue of children’s right to education emerged as a major issue of news articles related to children. Third, the vulnerability of the elderly to infection stands out most prominently in the case that the pandemic is prolonged. Subsequently, the research found that the main issues related to the disabled are right to live and human rights violations and care decifit in the COVID-19 situation. The results of this study can be used as basic data for policies to protect children, the elderly, and the disabled in the event of a new infectious disease pandemic in the future.
