대응기법이 진실과 거짓 화자의 진술 내용에 미치는 영향

초록

Various techniques to detect lie have been devised through extensive research. Along with this introductions, there have been concerns about emergence of countermeasures that resist lie detection. Therefore, this study aimed to empirically test the effects of countermeasures on verbal lie detection, which has not been sufficiently researched. In particular, the effetss of countermeasures on truth-tellers and liars were examined by dividing the countermeasures into practice-based and research-based. As a result, the research-based countermeasures made the statement seem more sincere. However, it was found that the practice-based countermeasures rather reduced the number of details in the statement than the statement without countermeasure. This can be evaluated as having low validity depending on the statement assessment tool, so the effectiveness of countermeasures should be sufficiently verified thruough follow-up studies. In addition, it suggests that the effectiveness of countermeasures needs to be counsidered in the current statement credibility assessment process, which focuses on the abundance of statements.
