「석전 박한영 전서」 편찬의 구도와 방향

초록

Seokjeon Park Han-young is a representative of the scholarly logic of modern Buddhism in Korea, which he expounded in lectures and magazines. Of course, Seokjeon was a monk who specialized in Zen studies, teaching, and systematics, a Korean poet who produced various kinds of traveling poems by traveling across the country, and a literary figure who developed a theory of Buddhist literature. He was also a journalist who developed a cultural movement by publishing a magazine, a romantic writer who interacted with poetry experts through poetry meetings, and a humanist who interacted with national scholars. Buddhist circles emphasize his role as a learned monk and Buddhist reformer. Unfortunately, the writings and contributions of this multifaceted figure have not yet been compiled into a collection or translated into a full-length book. Seonunsa Temple, where Seokjeon's memorial hall is located, has made great efforts to honor Seokjeon, and has set a goal of publishing an extensive collection of materials and a complete set of translations around 2013, but there has been no tangible result so far. This article is written to emphasize that the compilation of the complete works of Seokjeon Park Han-young is not the exclusive right or duty of any temple or community, but a natural mission of the Buddhist scholarly and humanistic communities, to present the necessity and significance of compiling the complete works, and to establish the structure and direction of the actual compilation of the complete works to be published. It first considers why it is necessary to compile biographies in this era and how biographies should be compiled in the digital age, and then presents the process of data collection and publication strategy. In terms of details, individual lists can be modified, and the editing of the biographies is also variable, but we hope that this book will be useful in the sense of presenting an overall framework.
