노인의 정서적 지지와 주관적 정신건강의 관계에서 관계 만족도의 매개효과: 1인 가구와 다인 가구 간의 다집단분석

This study verified the mediating effect of family satisfaction and non-family satisfaction in the relationship between emotional support and subjective mental health for the elderly. In addition, a multi-group analysis was conducted by dividing the sample into two groups in consideration of the heterogeneity of the sample according to the status of single-person households. The data of this study utilized the 9th National Retirement Security Panel main survey and supplementary survey conducted by the National Pension Service. As a result of the study, regardless of the status of single-person, the increase in emotional support statistically significantly explained the increase in subjective mental health. In addition, the partial mediation effect of family satisfaction and non-family satisfaction was statistically significant for the elderly in multi-people households, and the partial mediation path of non-family satisfaction for the elderly in single-person households. This study detailed the path through which emotional support affects subjective mental health improvement through a multi-mediation model and compared the significance of paths by group. Through the results of this study, we presented empirical evidence that non-family satisfaction is important for the elderly in single-person households to lead to mental health improvement by emotional support from social networks compared to elderly in multi-person households.
