초록

This study analyzes the service-use process of socially withdrawn young adults across four stages-perceived need, application, utilization, and intention to use-focusing on how withdrawal-related and individual characteristics shape each stage. A survey of 123 young people with withdrawal experience shows that most respondents recognized substantial service needs(72.5%), many had applied for multiple services(64.1%), and a considerable share had used ten or more services (31.7%). Overall, 70.9% indicated intentions to use most existing services. Withdrawal due to employment or interpersonal difficulties was associated with higher perceived need and greater service use. Personal attributes also influenced engagement: living alone, good health, and having a support network increased the likelihood of moving through the entire service-use pathway. In contrast, being female, having college-level education or higher, and living outside the metropolitan area reduced service accessibility. The study highlights the need for tailored, stage-specific, and regionally responsive support for withdrawn youth.
