The purpose of this study was to explore the components of professionalism of coach education tutors recognized by trainees in football coaching courses. After collecting basic data related to domestic and abroad coach education and instructor education, in-depth interviews were conducted based on a semi-structured questionnaire with football coaches who had sufficient experience in each stage of the process from AFC level C to level A or higher. The collected data were subjected to inductive category analysis according to the six stages of data analysis presented by Creswell(2014). As a result of this process, a total of 36 factors appeared as the professionalism of coach education tutors. Similar items were grouped together and divided into 10 subcategories, which were further organized into 4 superordinate categories. The four superordinate categories are first theoretical application ability, second practical skill transfer ability, third influence ability, and fourth experiential ability. Based on this, to sum up with the necessary of abilities for the coach education tutor, it could be presented as an ability to form a sincere relationship with trainees and teach them the contents they learn and the actual coaching method based on various experiences related to football coaching. Referring to the results of this study, it could be necessary to develop a specific curriculum that can cultivate the professionalism for the coach education tutor, and the coach education tutor should contribute to the development of football in the future by making efforts to equip the components of professionalism recognized by the trainees.
