다문화 청소년의 문화적응 스트레스가 공격 행동에 미치는 영향: 사회적 위축과 우울의 순차매개효과

초록

As of 2024, the number of multicultural adolescents in South Korea reached 193,814, marking a 7.0% increase compared to 2023. Unlike their non-multicultural peers, multicultural adolescents often experience acculturative stress, discrimination, and academic difficulties, which make them more vulnerable to psychological problems. Such psychological difficulties are likely to manifest as externalizing behaviors such as aggression. Therefore, it is necessary to estimate and empirically examine the factors influencing aggressive behavior among multicultural adolescents. This study aimed to verify the dual mediating effects of social withdrawal and depression on the relationship between acculturative stress and aggressive behavior among multicultural adolescents. SPSS Process Macro Model 6 was used for the empirical analysis. Data from the 5th wave (2023) of the second panel of the Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study were utilized. After excluding cases with missing values, a total of 318 samples were analyzed. The results revealed that acculturative stress had a positive effect on social withdrawal and depression but did not have a direct effect on aggressive behavior. Specifically, acculturative stress indirectly influenced aggressive behavior through the complete mediation of social withdrawal and depression. Based on these findings, intervention strategies were discussed to address multicultural adolescents’ aggressive behaviors by alleviating their acculturative stress.
