한국한자음 [어+어말자음]əC에 대응하는 일본한자음

초록

This study analyzes the correspondence between 174 Korean Sino readings that follow the [ə+coda consonant] pattern and their counterparts in Japanese Sino readings, based on the JoyoKanji List(2010). The findings are summarized as follows: 1. The 52 Korean readings [엉]əŋ correspond to 34 ei and 25 jou in Japanese. 2. The 31 Korean readings [억]ək correspond to 21 eki and 6 jaku and 6 oku in Japanese. 3. The 51 Korean readings [언]ən correspond to 45 eN in Japanese. 4. The 15 Korean readings [얼]əl correspond to 14 etsu in Japanese. 5. The 19 Korean readings [엄]əm correspond to 14 eN in Japanese. 6. The 4 Korean readings [업]əp correspond to 4 jou in Japanese. Based on the above analysis, it can be said that the vowel ə in Sino-Korean readings basically corresponds to e in Sino Japanese readings. Sino Korean forms of the type [ə+final consonant] are the result of monophthongization from [jə+final consonant] in the palatal series. With regard to these correspondence rules, it is necessary to diagram relevant examples and engage in learning through image-based training that visualizes both the reflection of Middle Chinese and the phonological changes in Sino Korean and Sino Japanese readings.
