전쟁의 이웃들 : ‘주변’에서 바라본 3~4세기 동북아시아 전쟁

초록

The 3rd and 4th centuries were the most dynamic period in East Asia's international relations. And it was a time when large-scale wars occurred in Korean ancient history. This paper focuses on the ‘peripheral area’ of the war that occurred in Korea and Northeast Asia in the 3rd and 4th centuries. War has a great impact not only on the warring parties, but also on the countries involved in the war and the surrounding areas surrounding the battlefield. In aspect of these issues, this paper examines the trends and response methods of neighboring countries that were not parties to the war, focusing on the ‘Goguryeo-Cao Wei(曹魏) War’ that broke out in 244 and the ‘Goguryeo-Baekje War’ that began in 369. In Chapter Ⅱ, attention was paid to the people who were directly or indirectly in volved in the war during the ‘Goguryeo-Cao Wei War’, such as Wuhuan(烏丸·烏桓), Buyeo(夫餘), Yilou(挹婁), and Bulnaeye(不耐濊). Wuhuan, took an active part in the war. Buyeo, watched the war and played a passive role as a helper. Yilou(挹婁), sought self-reliance amid changes in the political situation of Dongyi(東夷) society resulting from war. Bulnaeye(不耐濊), engaged in diplomacy to restore political influence. In this way, the responses of neighboring countries that observed the war were expressed in various ways. Chapter Ⅲ focuses on the perspectives of Daebang commandery(帶方郡) refugees regarding the ‘Goguryeo-Baekje War’ that began in 369. It is thought that until then, Daebang commandery refugees were unable to completely integrate into Goguryeo society and were in a position where they were neither Goguryeo people nor foreigners. And their ambiguous identity became the background for choosing to take a waitand-see approach to the war without leaning on either side between the relationship with Baekje that had continued from previous times and the realistic dominance of Goguryeo.
