초록

This study aims to develop virtual reality-based smart policing education training scenarios and emphasize the importance of evaluation tools to enhance the responsiveness of police officers in real-life situations. The crime of illegal filming is occurring persistently. A survey revealed that illegal filming happens most frequently in public transportation facilities such as subway stations, stairs, and escalators during rush hours. It was also confirmed that 14% of the victims had their footage filmed and distributed on the Internet. Illegal filming is a serious offense as it carries a high risk of the victim's footage being disseminated without their knowledge. Therefore, immediate measures, such as confiscating and searching the equipment used for illegal filming at the scene, are crucial in cases of illegal filming in the subway. Thus, conducting education on this matter holds significant meaning. In this study, utilizing virtual reality technology, we have created various scenarios depicting illegal filming incidents in the subway. By doing so, on-site police officers can receive training on appropriate countermeasures to prevent illegal filming in subway stations with high footfall and learn what actions to avoid. This scenario is particularly important for education because it deals with a situation where the victim's footage may not be recognized as evidence due to the actions of the police officers present, from a legal perspective.
