미중무역분쟁에 따른 한국의 경제안보 공급망 변화에 관한 연구
초록
This study aims to understand the trends of Korea's trade with the US and China amid the restructuring of the global trade structure due to the US-China trade dispute, and analyzes the trends of Korea's exports and imports to the US and China and the trends of top exports and imports. The results of the study are as follows. The trade balance with the US is on a continuous upward trend. The trade volume with China increased by about 8.7 times compared to 2000, but it was found that the trade balance deficit will be shown starting in 2023. In the case of monthly trade trends with the US and China, it can be confirmed that the proportion of Korea's exports to the US increased compared to the total exports from July 2018 to December 2024, while the proportion of exports to China decreased. In terms of trade trends by specific items, automobiles and general machinery were found to be the main export items to the US. Semiconductors have been consistently ranked among the top items for imports to the US for 20 years. Petrochemical products and semiconductors were consistently ranked among the top export items to China, and electronic machinery were consistently ranked among the top import items to China. As the global trade structure is being reorganized, it is necessary to pay attention to the trade structure trends and trends for the US and China from the perspective of Korea, which is greatly influenced by the US and China.
