『보살계본지범요기』의 유가계본·범망계본 중심 논쟁에 대한 연구(Ⅱ) -그 화쟁적 의미의 규명-

초록

Wonhyo reconized the practical conflict occurring in relation to the precept of Shilla Buddhist community, trying to seek a solution. And Jibeomyogi is the fruit of such effort. Writer in this thesis studied both the Wonhyo’s awareness of then controversial situation and the solution Wonhyo presented to relieve the conflict, and as follows: First, it has a conflicting side between fundamentalism in Beommanggyebon and motivation theory in Yugagyebon, whose practical example is Jeonyedoin(專濊道人). That’s because, according to Beommanggyebon, a command is judged to respect, and according to Yugagyebon, a command is judged to violate. In this case, the judgement based on the motivation theory of Yugagyebon means the correct understanding of the precept. Second, it is possible only for great saint not to violate both Seongmunjadosimgye(聲聞自度心戒) and Bosalgwangdaesimgye(菩薩廣大心戒). Therefore, between Seongmunjadosimgye and Bosalgwangdaesimgye, almost all ascetics confront the conflicting situation, whose practical example is Geugsasamun(剋私沙門). In this conflicting situation, they have to choose Bosalgwangdaesimgye in spite of violating Seongmunjadosimgye, because the act to extricate people is the most fundamental thing in achieving Bodhisattva Path(菩薩道).
