초록

The rapid growth of financial technology has reshaped the landscape of digital financial services, yet consumer adoption remains uneven due to functional and psychological barriers. Both FinTech companies and traditional banks increasingly rely on mobile applications (apps) as primary service channels; however, prior research has mainly depended on cross-sectional surveys. To address these limitations, this study positions diffusion theory as the primary analytical lens and integrates innovation resistance theory (IRT) and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) as complementary interpretive frameworks, leveraging large-scale user review data from FinTech and traditional banking apps. A two-stage analytical approach is used: First, diffusion modeling based on cumulative review trajectories identifies market-level adoption patterns and a crossover point at which FinTech apps surpass traditional banking apps in relative diffusion momentum. Second, topic modeling and regression analyses examine how themes of resistance and acceptance, as reflected in user reviews, differ before and after the crossover period. The study underscores changing platform strategies, highlighting the importance of building trust. It also offers developers insights to promote sustained user engagement and equitable access to digital financial services.
