중소기업 경영진의 비즈니스 경험에 대한 귀납적 내용분석: SWOT 모델의 적용

An Inductive Content Analysis of the Business Experiences of SMEs Executives: Application of the SWOT Model

초록

This study explores how the business experience of small and medium-sized enterprise(SMEs) executives is transformed into the firm’s strategic cognitive structure and examines how such experience is perceived and interpreted as strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. To achieve this, the SWOT(Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) model was adopted as an analytical framework, and qualitative research using inductive content analysis was conducted to categorize the actual experiences of SMEs executives. The results indicate that executives experiences were structured through three cognitive patterns, transfer, coordination, and integration—based on their perceptions of organizational strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. These results suggest that executives experiences extend beyond the mere accumulation of career trajectories to serve as a key mechanism for strategic thinking and organizational learning, underscoring the importance of experience-based cognitive structures in SMEs strategy research.
