초록
This study examines the impact of childhood exposure to domestic violence on the perpetration of domestic violence in marriage, focusing on the moderating role of social support. Data from the 2022 National Survey on Domestic Violence by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, based on responses from 4,786 legally married adults aged 19 to 65, were analyzed. The findings reveal a positive correlation between early exposure to domestic violence and adult perpetration. Social support serves as a significant moderating factor, with higher levels of support associated with a weaker connection between early exposure and later violence. This suggests that social support can act as a protective buffer, reducing the likelihood of violence in those exposed during childhood. Strengthening social support systems is essential to prevent the intergenerational transmission of domestic violence. Policy suggestions include the implementation of behavior correction programs, enhanced legal support, and public awareness campaigns through education and community initiatives. These interventions can help break the cycle of violence and promote healthier family environments. Future studies should adopt longitudinal approaches to further validate these results.
