브루노 라투르(Bruno Latour)의 존재론을 통한 ‘기술적 존재자’의 교육적 자리매김 가능성 탐색

Exploring the educational position of ‘Technological Beings’ through Bruno Latour’s ontology

초록

Bruno Latour criticizes the nature/social dualism of Western modernity. Modern people know that nature and society are symmetrical, but they show a contradictory perception that they do not want to be aware of it. As a result, technical (material) beings do not belong anywhere and multiply rapidly because they are not properly criticized. Latour’s awareness of the problem can also be applied to Korean education, where various technologies have been introduced since COVID-19. This study explored Latour’s criticism of the modern nature/social dualism and the possibility of educational application to the status of technological beings. To this end, we first analyzed Latour’s modernity and the ontological characteristics of the actor-network theory created based on it. Latour argued for the symmetry and interrelationship between nature and society in order to overcome modernity, and showed that the process of producing technical beings should be clarified. Regarding the theory of the actor’s network, the topological nature of the network and its unintentionality in behavior were discussed. Based on this, the necessity of interdisciplinary research within education and the necessity of human natural attributes in educational anthropology were reviewed. Subsequently, the necessity of localization of the actor’s network was discussed. Finally, the possibility of securing space for technological beings and multiple education through this was explored.
