소년원생이 인식한 비공식 낙인과 청소년비행의 관계 : 비행친구교제의 매개효과를 중심으로

Previous studies on labeling theory have primarily focused on formal labeling, while informal labeling has received relatively less attention. While Some domestic studies have explored the relationship between informal labeling and juvenile delinquency, they often fail to include mediationg factors. To address this gap and verify the labeling theory, this study empirically analyzed the effect of informal labeling on juvenile delinquency, with involvement in deviant groups as a mediating factor. This study used data from the 2018 Panel Survey on Juvenile Offenders conducted by the Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice. The analysis revealed that involvement in deviant groups mediates the relationship between informal labeling and juvenile delinquency among juvenile offenders. The research suggests implementing friendship improvement programs, group art therapy, mentoring and so on.
