초록
This study examines factors influencing older adults’ perceptions of AI services and age-related differences in acceptance. As the elderly population becomes more diverse, identifying key determinants of AI adoption is essential. Using data from the 2023 Digital Information Gap Survey, we analyzed 1,239 individuals aged 65 and older through hierarchical regression and comparative analyses. Results indicate that smartphone proficiency, social connectivity, and technology use efficacy significantly impact AI service perceptions. Higher technology efficacy and smartphone proficiency correlate with more positive attitudes, while greater social engagement enhances acceptance. Differences emerged between early elderly (65–74 years) and late elderly (75+ years). Early elderly prioritize digital proficiency and technology efficacy, viewing AI as a practical tool. In contrast, social connectivity plays a greater role for late elderly, who see AI as a means of social interaction. These findings highlight the need for age-specific strategies: technology training for early elderly and community-based engagement for late elderly. This study underscores the importance of both technological and social factors in AI adoption and offers policy insights for bridging the digital divide among older adults.
