『디지털시대의 글쓰기』 교재의 특징 및 방향성 －동국대학교 e-book을 중심으로－

초록

This paper analyzes the characteristics and meaning of Dongguk University 『Writing in the Digital Age』 e-book textbook, and furthermore, presents the direction of the common writing textbook for universities. The characteristics of Dongguk University’s 2023 new textbooks are as follows. First, it was created in the form of an e-book to reflect the digital age and utilize digital tools and devices. Second, the content and format of textbook are structured to enable learner-centered writing. In particular, through practice such as Korean orthography, sentence writing, PBL, and new types of writing, learners can develop active and proactive learning and problem-solving skills. This is meaningful in that even in this era when ChatGPT appeared, thinking and problem-solving skills can be improved through writing. Third, it is a textbook that reveals the characteristics and identity of Dongguk University as a university established by Buddhism. In terms of content, it is a point that connects the Buddhist training process with writing, and in terms of design, it is meaningful in that it strengthens the sense of familiarity and belonging to students by using Ako, the mascot of Dongguk University. Above all, the significance of the new textbook is that it can contribute to further improving students’ interest in and ability to write. Therefore, it is clear that writing textbooks, which are essential liberal arts subjects, should aim for ‘textbooks that can reflect and utilize the changes of the times, learner-centered textbooks, and materials that can contain the identity and characteristics of each university’ in both content and form.
