초록

This study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the regional extinction issue in South Korea and investigate the spatial dynamics of the factors influencing the regional extinction index. While prior research has employed various indices, such as the regional extinction risk index, to assess the risk of extinction across regions, these studies are limited by the absence of standardized evaluation criteria and a lack of consideration for spatial context. To address these gaps, this study seeks to analyze the interrelationships between the factors affecting the regional extinction index while incorporating spatial elements. The research begins by developing a classification map based on four extinction risk indices and employs traditional regression analysis to identify causal relationships between key factors. Subsequently, spatial regression models are applied to examine spatial dependencies between the extinction risk index and its influencing factors, and MGWR(Multi-scale Geographically Weighted Regression) is utilized to explore regional variations in greater detail. This study offers critical foundational insights that will inform the design and implementation of policies aimed at mitigating regional extinction.
