한·중 ‘선녀’ 설화와 그림책 <장수탕 선녀님>의 상호텍스트성 기반 한국문화교육 방안 연구

초록

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the intertextual relationship between Korean and Chinese “fairy” tales and Baek Heena’s picture book The Bathhouse Fairy for advanced Chinese learners of Korean, and to explore practical ways of teaching Korean culture. Methods: Korean and Chinese “fairy” tales were compared across four categories, and the ways in which The Bathhouse Fairy transforms the fairy­tale motif were analyzed from the perspectives of Bakhtin’s dialogism, Kristeva’s theory of intertextuality, and intercultural education. A cultural education activity model was then designed for the pre­reading, while­reading, and post­reading stages. Results: The Korean and Chinese tales revealed cultural differences, and The Bathhouse Fairy was identified as a text that reconstructs the symbolic system of the fairy tale into modern signs. In addition, the activity model was found to help learners use their own cultural schema to understand culture as a system of cultural signs. Conclusion: It was confirmed that Korean culture education based on intertextuality can function as an effective teaching and learning strategy that enables learners to actively interpret and reproduce the meanings of Korean culture.
