교육행정학의 가추기반 이론발달 모델 탐구: 관련 쟁점과 실천 방안

초록

In recent years, the academic importance of abduction as a fundamental starting point for systematic hypothesis generation and justification arguments for innovative theory development in social science fields such as management science and organizational science, and in various fields such as philosophy of science, cognitive science, computer science, artificial intelligence, and medicine has been greatly emphasized. Abduction also provides a justification logic for the use of mixed-methods research to overcome the sharp opposition between quantitative and qualitative approaches in some literature. To date, there has been no academic discussion on the importance and necessity of abduction argument for the theory development in educational administration. This paper aims to critically analyze the core contents and issues (ex: hypothetical-deductive approaches) of the 'Theory Movement', a historical event that exerted a strong influence on the development of educational administration theory, and to comprehensively review the research methodology-related issues (differentiating phenomena and data, philosophy of the abductive theory of method, etc.) that oversee the successful implementation of abduction-based research.
