Humanoid Era: A New Paradigm of HRD for Coexistence

초록

In the era of humanoids and generative AI, this study explores the irreplaceable capabilities of humans by integrating perspectives from the humanities and engineering. As the boundary between humans and machines becomes increasingly ambiguous, the paper redefines human uniqueness by critically analyzing the development of humanoid robots and physical AI. It classifies humanoids in contrast with androids and cyborgs and reviews state-of-the-art humanoid cases such as Tesla’s Optimus, Boston Dynamics’ Atlas, and Unitree’s H1/G1, examining their learning methodologies robot teaching, imitation learning, and reinforcement learning. The study also introduces the concept of Physical AI, focusing on its embodied intelligence, real-time interaction with the physical world, and the growing role of AI as a collaborative agent rather than a tool. The discussion then shifts to human-robot coexistence, using RoboCup as a symbolic case of human-machine competition, raising ethical and philosophical issues about fairness, safety, and emotional value. Additionally, the paper investigates how humans can learn from deep learning and generative AI, such as AlphaGo Zero and ensemble models, by extracting educational insights from their learning strategies. Concluding with a posthumanist and transhumanist lens, the study emphasizes the need for HRD (Human Resource Development) to shift from competition to mutual learning and empathy, proposing a new paradigm where humans and AI evolve together. The ultimate human capability is not a fixed function, but the ability to co-learn, co-create, and build meaningful relationships with others including machines.
