추파홍유(秋波泓宥)의 기문(記文) 연구
초록
Chupa Hongyu (秋波泓宥) was a grandson of a nobleman who served as a local governor. He had served as a Confucian scholar until he became a priest at the age of 19. He first became a disciple of Yongdam Jogwan (龍潭慥冠) and later served Hanam Seongan (寒巖性岸) as a teacher. Chupa taught his disciples during his profession of 30 years and did not neglect to offer a prayer to Buddha and practice the invocation of dharma. There are several yugi (遊記) in his literary collection, which is characterized by the fact that it is not easy to find yusangi in the Buddhist monk's literary collection. His yusangi was mainly described by temples, so he visited the entire mountain but used the name of the temple as the title of a yusangi. The monk's participation in the writing a yusangi, which was the exclusive property of the nobleman, was characterized by the 18th century, and the yusangi of Chupa reveals a different aspect from the writings of the nobleman. Among the Chupa’s writings, the kimun that illuminates the blacksmith (considered a lower-class citizen) as a hermit is also a rarity in the monk's literary collection. Writings for the lower class were popular in the late Joseon Dynasty, but did not appear much in the Buddhist monk's literary collection. However, Chupa left a message illuminating the blacksmith as a hermit, showing an aspect that conforms to contemporary literary and artistic trends. This may be the result of the experience of reading as a Confucian scholar because he became a priest late.
