임금의 공식 지시문 ‘교서(敎書)’ 분석에 기반한 지도자 리더십 전략 탐색
초록
This study examines gyoseo—official royal directives within the prose category of joryeong (imperial edicts and commands)—to analyze the patterns of leadership expressed in these documents and to explore leadership elements and strategies applicable to contemporary society. Using 51 gyoseo texts included in the Dongmunseon as primary sources, the study analyzes how leadership is articulated through official written directives. The analysis identifies five recurring patterns: (1) legitimizing commands through classical authority and historical precedents, (2) motivating subordinates through praise and recognition, (3) providing systematic and concrete instructions, (4) expressing responsibility and self-reflection, and (5) gathering opinions through open communication. These patterns are then reconstructed into core components of leadership: (1) securing legitimacy grounded in norms and conventions, (2) strengthening motivation and relational ties through recognition, (3) designing executable organizational structures, (4) articulating the leader’s ethical responsibility, and (5) forming collaborative and participatory decision-making structures. Finally, these components are translated into leadership strategies applicable to contemporary organizational contexts. The findings empirically demonstrate leadership patterns embedded in classical political texts and show that traditional governance discourse can offer meaningful insights for modern leadership strategies.
