북한이탈주민의 마약류 중독 및 재범방지에 관한 연구

초록

As the number of North Korean refugees entering Korea increases, the number of crimes they commit is also increasing in various types, and this study aims to analyze the causes of North Korean refugees’ drug-related crimes and propose measures to prevent drug-related recidivism. The research methodology utilized literature studies, media reports, and statistical data as the relevant organizations do not provide the data for security reasons and do not disclose it for privacy reasons. As a result, the study recommends: 1) expanding drug education; 2) conducting regular tests after identifying users; 3) making psychological counseling programs permanent; 4) making addiction programs compulsory in prisons and assigning dedicated drug officers; and 5) supporting vocational rehabilitation.
