초록

In a rapidly changing business environment driven by digital and sharing platforms, which have become key components of the global economy, this study investigates some research trends in the sharing economy by systematically analyzing research articles published in the field of social sciences in Korea. The analysis data was extracted through the Research Information Sharing Service (RISS) by searching for keywords related to the sharing economy across all fields of social sciences, resulting in 243 KCI papers. Bibliometric analysis, incorporating performance analysis and science mapping, and narrative synthesis were conducted. As a results of biblimetric analysis, first, research on the sharing economy consistently increased from 2000 to 2020 but showed a declining trend after 2020. Second, it was found that research on the sharing economy has been conducted primarily in the fields of business administration, law, and economics, encompassing the entire spectrum of social sciences. Additionally, the narrative synthesis method identified seven major research streams as the main topics in existing research: (1) concepts and types of sharing economy, (2) sharing economy platforms and business models, (3) sharing economy and laws and institutions, (4) social impact of sharing economy, (5) application of sharing economy by industry, (6) shared value creation, and (7) sharing economy and future society. Finally, for each research topic, we proposed future research tasks and research directions.
