초록

This study aims to design an interactive reading discussion essay remote class suitable for the post-corona era and to present a corresponding class model. To this end, considering the case where the existing face-to-face reading discussion and essay class was conducted as an interactive remote class, we designed a pre-during-and-after class process. The interactive reading discussion essay distance class designed in this way was conducted 48 times for 3 hours a week from March 2022 to February 2023 for 6 first-year reading discussion and essay club students at OO Middle School. In this process, the teacher conducted existing reading discussion and essay classes remotely through after-school activities, including 'class recording videos,' 'students' impressions,' 'essay writing materials,' 'online group chat room messages,' and 'classes by fellow teachers,' Data such as ‘critical texts’ were collected and analyzed. As a result, problems such as ‘lack of reliability of online vocabulary tests,’ ‘weakened concentration in online classes,’ ‘immaturity in media use and information ethics issues,’ and ‘lack of efficiency in editing each student’s writing’ were found. Accordingly, we redesigned the interactive reading discussion essay remote class in this study to improve the problem and presented an appropriate class model.
