This paper analyzes the current status of various global issues and examines alternatives through the documentary film, <Climate Refugees>. This film is a documentary released in 2010 that realistically shows the current status of various parts of the world caused by climate change. It travels to 48 countries and films various climate changes, and continuously asks questions about the actual results and current status of climate change and how humanity will deal with the problem of climate refugees. The characteristics of this film are first, it goes directly to the sites affected by climate change, interviews related people, and directly shows problems such as drought, flood, poverty, water shortage, and food problems through the opinions of the parties involved. This sharply captures the global situation caused by climate change, which further secures the film's realism. Second, it asks the question of what the world should think about and discuss together in relation to climate refugees. Climate change is not limited to abnormal climate, but is an international issue with various branches such as human rights, equality, biodiversity, and economic, social, and international issues. It makes us think seriously about it and recognize it. Third, it presents a realistic way to stop climate change, and it presents practical alternatives for climate refugees, while revealing the truth about human insight. This film delivers a message about climate change and climate refugees, but it is educational and touching without becoming propaganda. The reason is that it strikes a good balance between factuality, truthfulness, and humanity. This is because it shows enough room for empathy by showing that the issue of climate change, including human insight into climate refugees, is not someone else's problem, but 'my' problem, a problem of humanity. This study is <Climate Refugees> significant in that it introduced the documentary film to the academic field and examined the issues of climate change and climate refugees in depth.
