영화<난징! 난징!>의 흑백 톤에 관한 연구 : 제작기술, 촬영미학 및 디지털 시대의 시각화 분석

초록

This study examines how black-and-white aesthetics in film have re-emerged as both retro and innovative in the color digital era. It analyzes the evolution of black-and-white tones and their influence on filmmakers, drawing from film colorimetry and semiotic psychology to explore the reasons behind this resurgence. Using the Chinese war film City of Life and Death(2009), produced during the digital-to-film transition, as a case study, the research investigates the aesthetic characteristics and creative intentions behind modern black-and-white films through analysis of production techniques, cinematography, and AI-assisted color restoration. As AI image-generation technology advances, black-and-white tones may acquire new meanings and forms. This study aims to offer both theoretical and practical contributions to the future of cinematic color aesthetics.
