진실성에 따른 동공 반응의 차이: 비교질문검사에서 질문유형과 답변 후 반응 구간을 중심으로

This study examined whether pupillary responses in the Comparison Question Test (CQT) differ according to response truthfulness and explored the post-answer time window in which differences between question types are most clearly observed. To this end, pupillary response data collected during the CQT were analyzed, and the final sample consisted of 12 participants in the truthful group and 16 participants in the deceptive group. Comparing post-answer response windows from 1 to 5 seconds showed that the group difference in response differences between comparison and relevant questions was most pronounced in the 3-second window. Accordingly, a 2 (truthful vs. deceptive) × 2 (comparison question vs. relevant question) mixed-design ANOVA was conducted using the mean pupillary response during the 3-second period after the answer as the dependent variable. The results indicated that neither the main effect of group nor the main effect of question type was significant, whereas the interaction between group and question type was significant (F (1, 26)=19.52, p<.001). Specifically, the truthful group showed larger pupillary responses to comparison questions, whereas the deceptive group tended to show larger pupillary responses to relevant questions.
