자율전공 대학생의 전공 선택에 대한 심리적 동기 구조 탐색: Q방법론 연구

초록

This study aims to explore the motivation and subjective value criteria for major selection among undivided major students, following the 2025 "Guaranteed Choice of Major" policy expansion. Using Q-methodology, 34 Q-samples were derived from literature reviews and in-depth interviews, and Q-sorting was conducted with 17 undivided major students at D University. The analysis identified four distinct types: ‘Self-Actualization and Aptitude-Oriented,’ ‘Information-Based Prudent Exploration,’ ‘Social-Reference Stability-Seeking,’ and ‘Career Design Strategic.’ By empirically clarifying the complex psychological structures in an undivided major environment, these findings provide a foundation for developing differentiated guidance, customized career counseling, and learner-centered curricula tailored to each type’s characteristics.
